Within our group, finance plays a key strategic role in supporting operational excellence and long-term growth. To further strengthen our finance function, we are looking for a driven Financial Controller who will play a central role in financial reporting, consolidation and data quality across the group.
To support the further development of our finance organization and reporting capabilities, we are looking for an experienced Financial Controller . In this role, you will co-own the group-wide financial reporting process and ensure the accuracy, consistency and relevance of financial data.
You will work closely with finance, business controlling, ERP and operational teams, and contribute to the continuous improvement of systems, processes and management reporting.
As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the quality and structure of financial reporting across the group.
Taking ownership of the financial reporting process for the entire group
Defining, together with the ERP team, the structure of the data warehouse to ensure a solid reporting foundation
Monitoring and safeguarding the quality of financial data, with a strong focus on analytical accounting structures
Coordinating and optimising the financial closing process to ensure timely and reliable reporting
Performing in-depth analyses on inventories, intercompany transactions and consolidations
Applying consolidation and elimination techniques within an integrated group structure
Collaborating with business controlling to develop clear and insightful financial reports, covering P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and working capital
Continuously identifying and implementing process optimisations in cooperation with finance and operations
Supporting the optimisation and adoption of the new ERP system, including training of colleagues
Master’s degree in Business Engineering, Commercial Sciences or equivalent through experience
Proven experience in managing financial closing processes and reporting; knowledge of consolidation and audit is a strong asset
Strong analytical mindset with a sharp eye for financial and accounting data
Accurate, structured and results-oriented, with the ability to work autonomously while thriving in a team environment
Advanced Excel skills and experience with BI tools
Knowledge of data cubes and ERP systems such as AFAS and/or Navision is considered a plus
Fluent in Dutch and French; basic knowledge of English
