EU Project Manager


Location: Remote in Europe (with regular travel to Brussels and partner countries)

Contract type: Full-time (employment or long-term service contract, depending on country of residence and status)

EVBB designs, manages, and delivers high-impact EU-funded projects that shape the future of skills, VET systems, inclusion, and employment across Europe and beyond.

We are looking for a EU Projects Manager with a solid track record in EU-funded project management (Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, AMIF, CERV, etc.) who can lead complex initiatives from proposal design to implementation, while working mainly remotely and travelling to Brussels for key meetings and events.

 

Key Responsibilities

In close cooperation with the Brussels team, you will:

  • Lead the implementation and coordination of EU-funded projects , ensuring timely delivery, quality control, risk management, and full compliance with Grant Agreements and Programme Rules.
  • Coordinate and support project partners : agendas, minutes, follow-up, internal deadlines, and methodological guidance.
  • Prepare and submit interim and final reports (narrative, technical, and in coordination with the financial manager) to the relevant Managing Authorities.
  • Draft and contribute to competitive project proposals (Erasmus+, Horizon Europe, AMIF, CERV, etc.), including work plans, logical frameworks, impact pathways, KPIs, and exploitation strategies.
  • Support funding intelligence and consortium building , identifying calls, matching partners, and structuring roles and work packages.
  • Contribute to dissemination and policy activities , in cooperation with EVBB’s communication and advocacy team.
  • Represent EVBB in online and in-person meetings, conferences, and study visits , mainly in Brussels and partner countries.

Profile & Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in managing EU-funded projects (e.g. Erasmus+ KA2/CoVE/CB, Horizon Europe, AMIF, CERV or similar).
  • Strong understanding of the EU funding landscape , project cycle management, lump-sum logic, and reporting mechanisms.
  • University degree (Bachelor or Master) in  European Studies, Educational science, International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Education, Social Sciences or a closely related field.
  • Excellent command of English (C1 level) , both written and spoken. Knowledge of other European languages is a strong asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multi-country consortia , manage priorities, and meet tight deadlines while working largely online.
  • High level of autonomy, reliability, and attention to detail , with a solution-oriented and cooperative mindset.
  • Availability to travel to Brussels and other partner locations several times per year (project meetings, events, study visits, etc.).
  • Experience in VET, skills, employment, social inclusion, or education policy will be considered a strong advantage.
