A global lab automation company is hiring a European Systems Technician to build, install and commission robotic laboratory systems at customer sites across Europe.
This is a hands-on, field-based role, ideal for someone with an electro-mechanical, HVAC, automation, or service technician background who wants to move into robotics and life-science automation.
You'll work on system builds, travel to customer sites for installation, and support commissioning alongside experienced engineers and technicians.
What you'll be doingAssembling electro-mechanical systems from drawings and schematics
Installing and commissioning robotic and automated lab equipment
Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues (AC / DC)
Using software tools to calibrate and configure systems
Working on customer sites across Europe (and occasional US travel)
Completing build and installation documentation
Collaborating closely with other system technicians and engineers
1–3+ years' experience in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, automation or service roles
Comfortable working hands-on with tools, wiring, and assemblies
Able to read electrical and mechanical drawings
Happy with frequent European travel and time away from home
Confident communicating in English in a professional environment
Curious, reliable, and keen to learn new technologies
Nice to have (not essential):
Automation, robotics or controls exposure
Commissioning or field service experience
German language skills
You'll work on real robotic systems, not just maintenance calls
Heavy travel = rapid skills growth and experience
Entry-to-mid level role with strong long-term progression
Ideal stepping-stone into advanced automation, robotics or systems engineering
EU right to work
Valid passport and driving licence
Comfortable lifting equipment (up to ~25kg) and working in confined spaces
