Your Role
As a Process Engineer / Project Lead, you will independently manage projects from A to Z, delivering high-impact solutions primarily within the Food & Beverage sector. You will be responsible for process design, multidisciplinary coordination, and on-site commissioning, ensuring safety, quality, and performance throughout all project phases.
Key Responsibilities- Review project deliverables to define process requirements
- Develop PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment layouts
- Confirm design requirements with clients and stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Create specifications for piping, insulation, instruments, and equipment
- Produce tender/RFQ documents and validate Material Take Offs (MTOs)
- Liaise with suppliers on specifications, design, and delivery
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (Production, Maintenance, E&I department, Automation, HSE, QA, etc.)
- Prepare and complete project plans
- Propose design improvements and perform quality assurance
- Monitor and report project progress to stakeholders
- Oversee on-site commissioning, including mechanical completion, punch listing, cold/hot commissioning, PAT, and final handover
- Daily attendance required in Wieze
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Process, or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Process Engineering (Food & Beverage industry preferred)
- Excellent English communication skills; Dutch is required
- Proficiency in generating PFDs, P&IDs, and performing process calculations
- Experience in multidisciplinary coordination (civil, mechanical, electrical, automation, production)
- Team-oriented with strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Advanced time management capabilities
- Skilled in 2D and 3D CAD systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Microsoft Project is a plus
- Willingness to travel, relocate, and participate in business trips (not a main part of the job, but may be required)
- Experience in food or pharma projects is a plus
- Flexibility to adapt in a fast-moving environment
