Diabatix is a Belgian software scale-up specializing in generative thermal design. We developed Coldstream, a SaaS platform that automates the thermal engineering process for Tier 1 enterprise customers across various industries, including automotive, consumer electronics, aerospace, lighting, and semiconductors. We're expanding our team with an Application Engineer to provide technical assistance and ensure our customers' success.
Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Application Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will provide technical support to our customers, ensuring they maximize the value of Coldstream. As a bridge between customers and our internal teams, you will play a crucial role in troubleshooting, optimizing workflows, and delivering solutions for our innovative platform.
Responsibilities

As a pre-sales engineer, you are responsible for identifying and following up on potential leads, building trust with potential and current clients through your expertise and reliability, and providing day-to-day technical assistance on the projects you win. You will receive a thorough training to sharpen your sales and communication skills.

Your major responsibilities are:

  • Apply advanced engineering knowledge and expertise of CFD simulation and generative design techniques to provide highest level technical support to customers and channel partners.
  • Own the customer problems and proactively engage with selected accounts to provide comprehensive solutions. Work independently and contribute to all technical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle, interact with customers to understand their business needs, product design needs and engineering design workflows and articulate Diabatix value proposition.
  • Instruct introductory, intermediate and/or advanced training classes. Scope and deliver professional services for projects which might include collaborative work with other field engineers in the same or different disciplines.
  • Gather customer requirements and trends to support the improvement of Diabatix software and collaborate with the Diabatix product development teams to translate customer requirements into new product capabilities. Test new releases on industrial problems.
  • Participates in internal corporate initiatives to share knowledge, create best practices, solutions, and FAQs for knowledge base, inside the discipline and cross-disciplines. Actively participate in the development and mentoring of team members
  • Continue to acquire engineering knowledge and domain expertise

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in engineering science, or a related technical field.
  • Strong understanding of computational fluid dynamics (CFD), thermal engineering, and mechanical design principles.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues methodically.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric mindset and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, technical environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Passion for technology, engineering, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
