To further strengthen this team, we are looking for a Chemical Regulatory Specialist who wants to make a real impact in an international trading environment.

In this role, you ensure that the chemical products we source and distribute worldwide comply with applicable product safety and chemical regulations. You work closely with colleagues from different departments and act as a trusted regulatory partner, supporting both day-to-day operations and new business initiatives.

This is a role for someone who enjoys combining regulatory expertise with practical decision-making in a fast-moving, international context.

Your responsibilities

  • Assess and document regulatory, business and product-related risks

  • Perform feasibility studies and risk assessments for new raw materials and chemical products

  • Monitor evolving chemical legislation and translate regulatory changes into clear, actionable guidance

  • Provide expert advice on existing and upcoming chemical regulations (EU and non-EU)

  • Manage country-specific registrations, notifications and regulatory reporting

  • Research, analyse and critically review chemical, biochemical and toxicological data

  • Prepare and submit substance and product dossiers to competent authorities

Your profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related field

  • Ideally around 5 years of experience in chemical regulatory affairs

  • Solid working knowledge of key regulatory frameworks such as REACH, CLP, TSCA, EURASIA (or similar)

  • Fluent in English; a working knowledge of Dutch is an asset, but not a requirement

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with international stakeholders

  • Structured, analytical and proactive, with a genuine interest in keeping up with regulatory developments

  • A team-oriented professional with a hands-on mindset, who takes ownership and makes well-founded decisions

What we offer

  • A challenging and varied role with long-term career prospects in an international trading environment

  • Close collaboration with experienced and engaged colleagues in an open and supportive company culture

  • An attractive salary package including a company car, meal vouchers, hospitalization and group insurance, mobile phone with subscription and a collective annual bonus, ...

  • A hybrid working model with up to two days of homeworking per week

  • Plenty of room for professional development, learning and growth
