To support our growing activities, Caobo Studio is looking for an
Urban Design Intern
with a strong interest in
sustainable urban development, spatial strategy, and real-world planning projects
.
Your role
You will work closely with the management team and actively contribute to ongoing and future projects. Depending on project needs, your tasks may include:
Urban planning & spatial strategy
- Assisting with site analysis, mapping, spatial documentation, planning regulations, and urban policies
- Supporting feasibility studies and development potential assessments
- Contributing to reflections on density, mobility, public space, and mixed-use integration
- Helping develop spatial concepts, planning notes, and strategic presentations
Research & analysis
- Conducting research on urban trends, sustainability, mobility, and urban transformation
- Supporting benchmarking and best-practice analyses
Visual reporting
- Supporting the production of visual materials (plans, diagrams, illustrations, vision images)
- Assisting with presentations and report layouts
Stakeholder engagement
- Assisting in dialogue and coordination with public authorities, planners, consultants, and local communities
- Help in the organisation and facilitation of stakeholder meetings and workshops
- Support placemaking and participation processes
Your profile
- Currently pursuing a degree in
Urban Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture
, or a related field - Strong interest in urban development and placemaking processes
- Good graphic and visual communication skills
- Analytical and structured mindset
- Comfortable working with urban regulations, plans, and research
- Good communication skills in
English
(French and/or Dutch are a plus) - Proactive, curious, and eager to learn
Software skills
- SketchUp
- Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
- AutoCAD
- GIS (basic knowledge is a plus)
