The Office of the Dean of Engineering is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join the Communications & External Affairs Team. The appointee will support the Head (Communications, External Affairs & Development) on duties including but not limited to the following:

  • Assist in implementing branding and communication strategies to enhance the School of Engineering's visibility and reputation;
  • Execute outreach strategies to maintain and strengthen relationships with alumni, donors, industry partners and stakeholders; co-ordinate and manage the engineering alumni database;
  • Support student recruitment and enrichment efforts for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs;
  • Contribute to building the School's branding and public image, such as manage and organize various large-scale/school-based events, participation in facility projects, and develop success stories; and
  • Assist in overseeing and managing the Team's budget and operation.

Applicants should have a recognized bachelor's degree, preferably in communications/marketing management, with at least 7 years of experience in university/corporate communication/marketing. Candidates should possess effective communication, interpersonal, problem solving, event planning, and project management skills. They should also be a good team player and able to liaise with people at different levels from diverse backgrounds and work under pressure. Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Putonghua) is a must. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
