Context
Within the Operations team, Paynovate is strengthening its Implementation & Payment Operations function to support both ongoing client activity and new integration projects.
This role sits at the crossroads of client onboarding, payment operations, and technical implementation, with priorities that may vary depending on business activity.
Your Mission
As a Payment Implementation Specialist, your mission is to support client integrations and day-to-day technical operations, ensuring clear communication and reliable execution.
You act as a bridge between clients and internal teams, building your expertise over time while contributing to continuous improvement of our products, processes, and client experience.
You will:
Client Integrations & Change Activities
- Support and follow up on client integrations and approved changes, with guidance from senior team members depending on complexity and timing
- Engage with clients' development teams during onboarding or change phases when relevant
- Share technical specifications and API documentation, explain integration steps, and support setup of test environments
- Participate in client calls related to integrations or changes, providing clear status updates and technical clarifications
- Ensure integration and change-related information is properly documented and kept up to date
Technical Support & Payment Operations
- Answer technical questions from clients related to integrations, APIs, and payment flows
- Act as an escalation point for technically complex tickets not resolved by L1 support, with support from senior team members when needed
- Support L1 operations during peak activity periods
- Ensure operational issues are handled within agreed SLAs and escalated appropriately
- Contribute to improving operational processes and tools based on day-to-day support and client experience
The Right Fit
You are curious, proactive, and eager to learn. You enjoy understanding how things work and explaining them clearly to others, whether they are technical or non-technical.
You bring:
- A strong interest in payments, fintech, and regulated environments
- A junior profile (first experience, internship, or apprenticeship is absolutely fine) with a clear appetite for technical topics
- A background or education related to payments, banking, fintech, or financial services
(knowledge of card issuing is a strong plus) - Basic but solid understanding of APIs and tools such as Postman and SQL
- The ability to discuss technical topics with developers and CTOs, while also being able to clearly explain concepts to non-technical stakeholders (e.g. CEOs)
- A structured, reliable, and customer-oriented mindset
- Fluency in English and French
This role is well suited for an early-career profile looking to build hands-on experience in payment operations and technical implementations, within a scale-up environment and with a strong learning curve.
