Commercial Engineer

Nitto Belgium was established in 1974 in Genk and is the largest production site in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East & Africa) of the Japanese Nitto Group. With more than 500 employees, we develop and produce sealing materials and various industrial adhesive tapes such as double-sided tapes and surface protection tapes for industries including automotive, semiconductor, furniture, paper production, aerospace, and metal processing.

As a Commercial Engineer, you support production and other departments in the procurement of technical investments, assets, and consultancy services, where negotiating, challenging stakeholders, and value creation are central.

The Commercial Engineer's responsibilities include:

• Leading complex commercial negotiations with suppliers on pricing, contractual terms, risks, and warranties 
• Acting as a strategic sparring partner for internal stakeholders (engineering, production, management) 
• Analyzing technical files and translating them into strong commercial purchasing strategies 
• Building and maintaining supplier relationships, supported by clear KPIs and performance follow-up 
• Contributing to supplier qualification (MSQ), audits, and the further professionalization of procurement
