Senior Payroll Advisor




What will you do?

  • Ensure the accuracy and end-to-end compliance of Belgian payroll
  • Oversee salary calculations, bonuses, holiday pay, exits, DMFA, Belcotax and tax obligations
  • Analyze and resolve payroll anomalies and propose sustainable solutions
  • Review, develop and implement innovative HR and payroll processes
  • Drive and support continuous process improvement (Master Data – Time – Payroll)
  • Implement quality controls, KPIs and action plans
  • Act as an expert in all types of projects, including strategic HR projects (iHRM, CBAs, digital transformation)
  • Advise management and work closely with Finance, Reward, Audit, ICT and external partners
  • Contribute to the evolution of HR/payroll systems and participate in testing and deployment phases
  • Functionally coordinate HR experts within the HR Shared Service Center (HRSSC)


Who are you?

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent through experience
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in payroll / hard HR within a complex environment
  • Excellent command of Belgian social legislation and payroll processes
  • Experience with a social secretariat: an asset
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Comfortable in a role combining operational and strategic responsibilities
  • Very good command of Excel
  • Good knowledge of HR ERP systems
  • Team player, assertive, solution-oriented and focused on continuous improvement
  • Excellent knowledge of French or Dutch, good understanding of the other language, and professional proficiency in English
