The Market Access team in Belgium and Luxembourg works to detect, analyze, and solve economic, administrative, and political barriers to enable full patient access to BMS medicines. External focus, cross-functional collaboration, and project-based work are key parameters for this role.

Position: (Senior) Market Access Manager

The Market Access Manager is responsible for developing and implementing market access strategies to ensure optimal reimbursement and uptake of our products. In addition to preparing and managing pricing and reimbursement submissions and procedures, the role will actively support pricing strategies and contribute to cross-functional projects that drive commercial success.

Location: Belgium & Luxembourg

Reports to: Market Access Lead BeLux

Main responsibilities:

Develop and execute market access strategies to support full patient access of BMS medicines in Belgium and Luxembourg.

  • Monitor and analyze changes in the healthcare environment and reimbursement landscape.
  • Share insights and actively identify and provide analysis of the access opportunities and challenges to the Market Access Lead BeLux, relevant cross functional teams and the MAx team.
  • Take responsibility for and actively participate in the development of access plans in close collaboration with the market access team, the HE and OR managers and cross-functional teams.
  • Prepare and submit high-quality reimbursement and pricing files, including strong and evidence-based value communications, and manage follow-up with relevant authorities.
  • Contribute to the design and negotiation of managed entry agreements and innovative financial schemes.

Collaborate with Global Access and HEOR teams and local cross-functional teams (e.g. Medical, Regulatory, Commercial, HE & OR, Governmental Affairs) to ensure alignment of market access and pricing strategies and company objectives and local regulations.

Build and maintain excellent relationships with key external stakeholders, including payers, government agencies, and industry associations in the Belgium/Luxembourg region.

Desired experience/skills:

  • Experience within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, along with a strong interest in market access topics
  • Understanding of customer constraints and the health care environment in Belgium/Luxembourg
  • Understanding of the reimbursement processes and pricing regulations in Belgium and Luxembourg is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and persuasively on complex clinical and economic matters to clinicians and payers in an emerging and changing healthcare system
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Fluency in French and/or Dutch. Ability to communicate and operate in French and/or Dutch, and English
