Job description

Avesta is looking for an experienced EMS engineer, orientating towards battery storage applications. If you are someone who thrives on technical challenges, and is passionate to battery storage industry, please consider to join us.

The EMS engineer will work on development, tests, maintenance and troubleshooting for Avesta EMS system, which operates Avesta battery together with other renewable power source or loads, for the purpose of energy trading, peaking shaving-valley filling, frequency support, self-consumption, electricity bills optimization and so on. 

In particular, job tasks covers:

  • Collect customer/market needs for EMS, focusing on battery applications.
  • Responsible to EMS projects, satisfy customers' requests and ensure a smooth project process.
  • Develop new EMS functionalities if needed.
  • Test battery systems, focusing on EMS, together with battery test team and R&D team.
  • Commission EMS, and provide the necessary training to customers so that they can operate Avesta EMS in a correct way.
  • Perform EMS maintenance, upgrading, and support customers when they have questions, issues and requests.
  • Provide feedback for Avesta battery products and participate in Avesta battery storage system design.

Your profile:

  • A master degree in electrical engineering, applied computer science or equivalent.
  • 2-year experience in EMS software.
  • Strong skills and knowledge on programming languages C++, Python or Java (at least one).
  • Skills and knowledge on communication protocols (CAN, ModBus, TCP/IP, MQTT…).
  • Skills and knowledge on cloud service (AWS, Azure, …), database (MySql, MongoDB), front-end, UI development.
  • Skills and knowledge on battery systems are un plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, gooding writing skills on EMS manual documentation.
  • Good communication skills, teamplayer, self-motivated, ability to learn new technologies and knowledge.
