The Information Technology Services Office (ITSO) is responsible for developing and managing the University's IT infrastructure and information systems. We champion the effective and innovative uses of IT to support learning, research, and administrative activities. Our Infrastructure Systems team manages a broad range of advanced technologies including public and private clouds, identity and access management, server and desktop environments, web and application server farms, generative AI platforms, and High-Performance Computing (HPC) clusters dedicated to research computation.

We are seeking skilled IT professionals to join the Infrastructure Systems team with below:

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support operations for server and storage in data center environment.
  • Manage and support public and private cloud platform.
  • Conduct system monitoring, security patching, performance tuning and capacity planning.
  • Support change management, release coordination, ensuring compliance with control processes.
  • Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and operational guidelines.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and new products, plan and implement new solution to meet business needs and improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field.
  • At least three years of relevant experience.
  • Hand-on experience in Windows server, Linux system administration (RHEL, Ubuntu), storage systems (Dell, Pure Storage) and network (FC, RoCE).
  • Experience in virtualization technologies (VMware, Sangfor) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience in backup solution (Veeam, NetBackup) in an enterprise data center scale.
  • Familiar with cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, or AliCloud.
  • Familiar with scripting for automation and monitoring needs.
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills with a self-initiative attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks.

Applicants with less relevant experience but a strong interest in developing skills in these areas may be considered for the position of Associate IT Specialist. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
