Sales Director, Business Development Team Europe


Principal Duties and Responsibilities 

Targeted Prospecting 

  • Responsible for developing and implementing initiatives for new client acquisition, outbound prospecting, and social media selling tactics across the BD Team. Brings an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset to the Team with the ability to spot new opportunities and possibilities which will help win new clients.
  • Leverage marketing efforts, prospective client research, sales enablement resources and tools like Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator in support of the BD Team acquisition objectives.
  • Set and leverage KPI (Key Performance Indicator) metrics for Performance Management across the Team.

Strategic acquisition 

  • Oversee the development of bespoke value propositions in collaboration with Leadership Solutions Partners, Implementation Managers, and other subject matter experts across the enterprise to deliver robust solutions that speak directly to client pain-points.
  • Ensure BD Team ownership of the total \"top-of-funnel\" lifecycle, from initial outreach to the handover of contractually agreed solutions to the account management team. 

Business Forecasting 

  • Monitor opportunity progress and actively drives sales velocity across the Team, ensuring that the company efforts are focused on the most valuable opportunities.
  • Provide accurate forecasting against pipeline and revenue targets by ensuring proactively that CRM information for the Team is accurate and up to date.

Business Performance 

  • Safeguard business profitability with proposals based on standard pricing for all products and solutions design and delivery.
  • Ensure client satisfaction and expectations are realized with realistic and validated proposals within a standard contracting framework.

Minimum Job Specifications (Requirements)

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree

Experience/Work Background

  • More than 10 years of sales experience.
    • Dedicated hunter with a strong acumen for prospecting, cold calling, and outbound sales messaging.
    • Demonstrated experience in targeting and prospecting new clients.
    • Demonstrated sales approach based on qualification methodologies such as SPIN, MEDDIC, Challenger or comparable methodologies used in consultative selling.
    • Demonstrated experience in successfully managing prospects through a consultative buying cycle with the capability to translate complex solutions into clear, compelling value propositions.
    • Highly effective in engaging and influencing multiple stakeholders throughout the sales process, including senior executives and C-suite leaders.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-stage sales cycles and successfully close high-value deals exceeding USD 1M with new clients.
    • Demonstrated experience to consistently meet or exceed revenue targets through building a new book of business.
  • Minimum one year experience in managing a team.
  • Minimum one year experience in the L&D market.
  • Fluent in the English language, both spoken and written. Additional languages are a plus.
