Description
As a Compliance Officer, you will engage in the following responsibilities:

• You contribute to the formulation and implementation of ongoing second line controls and monitoring activities, which include surveillance alerts for clients and employees;
• You offer guidance and assistance to business units regarding relevant laws and regulations, including the evaluation of new products, business initiatives, control frameworks, and marketing materials;
• You actively participate in monitoring regulatory updates to assess the relevance and necessary actions related to emerging Belgian and European legal modifications;
• You ensure that both global and local Compliance policies and procedures are regularly reviewed and updated promptly, reflecting regulatory changes and adopting industry best practices;
• You foster a culture of Compliance awareness among staff by delivering suitable training programs.

Profile

• Possesses a minimum of 3 years of pertinent experience in the financial industry, specifically in compliance-related processes and regulations (such as MiFID, consumer responsibilities, and protection);
• Values collaboration and consistently upholds a high standard of integrity in interactions with colleagues at both the national and regional compliance levels;
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills and adopts a proactive mindset towards addressing challenges through a risk-based approach
• Is adept at recognizing issues and potential solutions or opportunities, as well as enhancing the effectiveness of control programs;
• Effective in managing all verbal and written communications in the national languages (French and Dutch) alongside English.
