Job Purpose

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for identifying, developing and managing new business opportunities with OEM and OES prospects. This role combines strategic account management, new market development and customer relationship to drive new customer acquisition and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

Business growth & strategy

  • Develop and execute business development plans aligned with company strategy and growth objectives

  • Identify and pursue new OEM and OES customers

  • Lead initial commercial discussions and manage quotation process with support of technical key account

  • Monitor industry trends, competitors activities to identify emerging business opportunities and report to management

Customer relationship management

  • Build and maintain strong relationship with decision makers at OEM & OES customers

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely response to customer needs and smooth project execution

  • Represent the company at trade shows, technical conferences and industry events

Key account management

  • Manage directly a limited amount of strategic customers in the premium and luxury segment

  • Develop and maintain internal sales processes

Measurables

  • New customer acquisition (OEM & OES)

  • Sales volume and EBIT growth

  • Customers' satisfaction

Competencies & Expertise

Education and experience

  • Bachelor degree in business administration, engineering or related fields

  • 5 to 10 years' experience in automotive (tier 1 supplier)

  • Proven success in securing new business and managing OEM and/or OES accounts

  • Good understanding of OEM RFQ processes

  • Fluency in English and another European language, Chinese language a plus
