We're looking for a
Legal Counsel
to join our and contribute to our mission of transforming clinical research through data-driven insights.

  • Belgium-based role; candidates must be able and willing to commute as required in a hybrid working pattern.

Job Requirements

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive, flexible, and collaborative mindset. 3–4 years PQE as a qualified lawyer.
  • Structured legal training gained in a law firm or a well‑organised in‑house legal team.
  • Strong grounding inEuropean legal systems.
  • Hands-on experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
  • Demonstrable experience withGDPR and data protection.
  • Experience working incross‑border, multi‑jurisdictionalcontexts.
  • High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools, with an interest in assessing emerging technologies to streamline and enhance legal processes.
  • Knowledge of Belgian commercial, and corporate law.
  • Familiarity with technology contracts, including SaaS licensing.
  • Exposure to pharma/medical compliance frameworks(e.g.GxP) is a strong advantage.
  • Initial training or early career experience in a law firm.
  • Exposure to life sciences, pharma, med‑tech, or technology/SaaS sectors.
  • Experience advising on, drafting and negotiating US-law governed contracts is advantageous.

Languages

  • Fluent English(drafting and negotiation).
  • French: strong working proficiency(spoken and written).

Job Responsibilities
Draft, review, negotiate, and process complex international commercial contracts and terms & conditions with customers and suppliers.

  • Provide legal advice and contract interpretation on non‑standard legal, financial, and business issues.
  • Manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including preparation of templates, negotiation, execution, and internal distribution.
  • Maintain and update templates and playbooks to ensure compliance with current legislation across relevant jurisdictions.
  • Advise on data privacy and compliance matters, including GDPR; exposure to regulated environments is advantageous.
  • Support corporate housekeeping and governance matters, including maintenance of corporate records, entity documentation, and coordination with external counsel on filings and compliance obligations.
  • Support day‑to‑day legal matters linked to business operations and provide ad hoc legal support to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with commercial, operational, and technical teams in a fast‑paced, international environment.
