In Brussels, we have our Structural and Mechatronics Engineering offices, where all our new programs begin and our workshops are equipped with modern

machines that produce complex metallic assemblies for aircraft and space launchers as well as advanced Thrust Vectoring Systems for space launchers.

SABCA Brussels is also the home to our \"Unmanned Autonomous Systems\" aka: the drones solutions unit

Mission

You manage a team of Quality Assurance engineers and you are the internal and external (customer and authorities) focal point for all quality program related matters.You report directly to the SABCA Group Quality Director and are part of the Business Unit (BU) Management Team, reporting in dotted line to the BU Manager of Sabca Aerostructure.You also work in close collaboration with all program stakeholders internal Sabca, Customer, Suppliers and Regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

1- Quality Assurance

You lead and provide guidance to a team of quality assurance engineers to ensure the program quality requirements.-Follow up training requirements of the team-Ensure polyvalence in the team-Ensure a safe work environment-Evaluation of the teamYou ensure and maintain compliance to the customer, industry and regulatory requirements related to the programs.-Contribute during the contract review and kick-of meetings.-Manage and/or ensure analysis of and compliance to the customer quality requirements forprogram, product and applicable processes taking into account the Aerospace Industry andRegulatory requirements.-Ensure flow down of customer requirements and applicable norms/standards within theorganisation and to the suppliers.You manage, create and approve the quality documentation specific to the programs.You review and approve the program/product related documentation produced by the different services.You manage and/or ensure the interface with the customer for all quality related topics: progress, inquiries, complaints, program reviews, etc... .You ensure and maintain customer product and process qualifications.You manage internal, external and supplier non-conformities relating to your program: treatment of non-conforming products, disposition of non-conformities (as agreed with the customer), root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions.You organize and/or contribute to risk analysis on products and manufacturing processesYou organize and/or ensure customer audits and product audits.You organize and/or perform product and manufacturing process audits.You organize supplier non-conformity handling and perform/ensure supplier quality follow-up and audits.You organize and ensure Quality Clinics.You maintain and report the Quality KPIs.You contribute to continuous improvement projects.


2- Quality General

You promote Quality and Aviation Safety Rules in whole organisation through leadership and training.You support the definition of the employee qualification needs: logistics, manufacturing engineering, production operators and inspectors.You support the BU organisation to improve and maintain company processes to keep the BU aligned with SABCA Group.You supervise and assist the BU internal and external audit non-conformity follow-up.

Profile

Master degree in industrial engineering, or mechanics, or materials science or chemistry or equivalent.More than 10 years of professional working experience in a similar industry.You have the maturity to guide a team of QA engineersExcellent communication skills in English and Dutch or FrenchAbility to motivate a team and to ensure rigor in the follow up of quality requirementsRelevant experience in aerospace quality is required for this position.Practical knowledge with problem solving methodologies: 8D, 9S, 5whys, etc..Knowledge of aerospace materials, components and assembly of structural parts.Good knowledge of quality standards (AS/EN9100, ISO9001, IATF 16949, ...).Good knowledge of drawing reading, G D&TKnowledge on the implementation of APQP according to EN9145Team player and leaderSolution minded and you like challenges.Ability to can work under pressure and maintain a high result driven working environment.Assertive and convincing when needed.Excellent analytical skills.Good knowledge of MS Office and ERP (SAP, S4HANA).
