Role
Would you like to help build an application lab from the ground up and make an impact in an international niche market?

Radiant Color is looking for an Application Engineer Coatings to join our R&D team. In this new role, you will be the point

of contact for resins and applications. You will ensure that our products perform optimally in practice

Function \"In this function you will\"
• Develop starting point formulations based on newly developed resins and asses the performance against industry

benchmarks (viscosity, reactivity, gloss, adhesion, stability)

• Research & validate application methods and translate results into practical recommendations for product

development

• Explore new application fields for existing resins and build technical know-how for these markets to support the

sales organization

• Support customers and distributors with applications and hands-on trainings to ensure a smooth product

introduction

• Perform root-cause analyses for quality issues and come up with solutions
• Follow the latest technological developments in the coatings world and translate these into development proposals

Profile
• Bachelor or Master Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Materials Science or Industrial Chemical Engineering

(or equivalent through experience)

• 5 to 10 years of experience with resins, coatings or additives, preferably in construction applications (flooring,

sealers, adhesives, concrete coatings)

• Combine chemical lab experience with practical application knowledge
• Strong background in formulation, processing, and testing of coatings
• Hands-on mentality where you enjoy working practically in the lab by testing new materials, products, and concepts
• Strong communication skills with the attitude to enjoy sharing knowledge and work well in a team
• Fluency in English which is the working language, knowledge of Dutch is a surplus
