Position overview

We are looking for a new Demand & Supply Planner Manager (mission) reporting directly to Supply Chain Manager.

Business: Nespresso

Contract: Mission from 2nd March till mid-September 

Start Date: 2nd March

Position Summary

To strengthen our Supply Chain department, we are looking for a Demand & Supply Planner Manager (mission). As our Demand & Supply Planner Manager, you will be the 'Tower of Control' of our Nespresso portfolio in Belgilux: from the sales forecast to the stock availability, you will monitor the operations and guarantee the best service for our customers at the lowest cost. Thanks to your natural leadership and extensive communication skills, you actively contribute to the monthly Business Planning Process by having contact with a lot of departments including Sales, Marketing or Finance. You drive the Demand and Supply Planning team in the effective application of best practices and efficient processes to ensure that finished goods are available, meeting customer demand, at the right stock location and with high freshness, whilst minimizing costs.

A day in the life of a Demand & Supply Planner Manager

  • You make accurate sales forecasts based on the Marketing and Sales input as well as the historical data available on the short- and long-term planning horizon.
  • Besides the follow up and achievement of the necessary KPIs, you report on a regular basis, and you have the final responsibility for the weekly and monthly planning & forecasting (forecast reviews, gap review, etc.).
  • You stand for efficient and profitable inventory management to guarantee clients an optimal service. You preserve a good balance between min and max stock in function of product fluctuation and stability.
  • You will be directly responsible for one or several categories of Nespresso portfolio alongside supporting and developing the two other planners in the team to ensure strong performance and alignment with business priorities
  • You collaborate closely with Marketing and Sales to make sure we can execute our promotions and product launches in optimal conditions.
  • You take part in various projects regarding planning and supply chain optimization.
  • You are responsible for keeping master data up to date.
  • You build and maintain good relations with your suppliers to guarantee optimal collaboration and you act as flexible as possible.
  • You participate/lead actively transversal meeting with the other departments on business priorities (commercial activity, product launches, etc.).
  • As you are in a position where you have the ability to influence key stakeholders (HQ international hub, the Belgilux leadership team), good communication skills are key.

What will make you successful

  • At least 4-5 years of experience in a similar function or in a relevant function in Demand & Supply Planning - Supply Chain Management.
  • Great communication skills with natural leadership qualities, service-oriented mindset, and the ability to excel in a cross-functional organization.
  • A stress resistant personality, able to multitask in a hectic environment with changing priorities.
  • A professional with a strong analytical mindset and who likes to take initiatives.
  • Very good organizational skills and able to influence others through solid analysis.
  • You have a professional knowledge of English and preferably speak Dutch and/or French.
  • You have thorough knowledge of Excel. Knowledge of SAP, APO, OMP.
  • Experience in people management is an advantage.
