Parts Product Manager – Brussels, Belgium

CLIENT

Linum Consult’s client is a market leader in the distribution of machine parts across the Mining, Civil Engineering and Heavy Industry sectors in Africa. Due to extended growth, they are looking to hire a Parts Product Manager to be based near Brussels, Belgium.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Proactively analysing the market potential, existing customers and competition, according to the type of product (OEMs), and establishing the priority actions to be carried out in the short, medium, and long term with the Parts Sales Support Officer (PSSO), Parts Sales Service Representative (PSSR), and Project Manager
• Proposing pricing strategies for OEMs and assigned customers
• Establishing and deploying sales support tools to PSSRs, PSSOs, and PMs
• Accompanying the PSSRs and PM in their client visits, helping develop skills and providing technical support for Parts Agreements or spot offers
• Identifying the necessary means to effectively implement these priority actions
• Participating in the preparation of the budget and forecast
• Preparing and facilitating monthly, quarterly, and annual meetings with OEMs
• Identifying and negotiating the support needed for OEMs to help local teams develop parts sales

CLIENT REQUIREMENTS

• Degree qualified in a technical or commercial subject (Commercial or Industrial Engineering)
• 3 years’ experience in a technical-commercial role
• Proven history of working within the OEM product industry, particularly with heavy equipment parts
• Ability to set objectives which are readily understood and accepted by the company
• Fluent in both French and English
• Highly autonomous and intelligent worker, with strong sales and negotiation skills
• Experience in Africa and/or an international environment is an added advantage, with a willingness for frequent travel
