For an innovative international technology organization, located in Lier, Belgium, we are looking for an experienced Country HR Manager to lead and further develop the local HR function.
Your role
In this role, you will be responsible for both the strategic and operational HR agenda across Belgian sites. You act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, ensure compliance with Belgian labor law and social dialogue, and translate business needs into effective people solutions. You will manage one direct report and collaborate closely with international HR peers within a matrix environment.
As Country HR Manager, you will:
- Define and implement the local HR strategy aligned with group objectives
- Act as a strategic HR Business Partner for management and key business units
- Manage employee relations, including works councils and collective labor agreements
- Oversee recruitment, performance management and talent development initiatives
- Manage compensation & benefits in line with corporate guidelines
- Ensure smooth HR operations, payroll coordination and HR reporting
- Lead HR projects and change initiatives (e.g. organizational changes, process improvements)
- Take ownership of fleet management for the Belgian organization (±120 vehicles)
Your profile
You bring:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Business or a related field
- Fluency in Dutch, French and English
- At least 8 years of HR experience, including a senior, hands-on HR role
- Strong knowledge of Belgian labor law and social relations
- Experience in an international and/or matrix organization
- Solid experience with payroll, HR systems (e.g. SuccessFactors), and compensation topics (incl. warrants)
- A pragmatic mindset, combining strategic thinking with operational execution
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
