LASEA Belgium is looking for a Project Manager (H/F/X)

Founded in 1999, LASEA provides laser micro-machining solutions to some of the world’s most prestigious companies, including the top Swiss watchmakers, several GAFA companies, leaders in the eyewear, pharmaceutical and medical industries (intraocular, vascular and cochlear implants), as well as several big names in Silicon Valley. 

With around 200 employees, it has already installed more than 3,000 systems in over 30 countries (across 5 continents). In addition to its headquarters in Belgium (Liège Science Park), it has subsidiaries in Mons (Belgium), Bordeaux, Besançon (France), Biel (Switzerland) and San Diego (United States).

To strengthen its team, LASEA is looking for a new Project Manager to join its site in Liège, Belgium (Liège Science Park).

Your responsibilities:

Manage all stages of a laser machine tool manufacturing project to ensure, together with your project team, that deliveries are made on time and within budget, while providing maximum service and quality to the customer.

• You will lead a team working on ‘laser machine projects’. You will maintain and nurture team spirit and motivation among the employees involved in your machine projects.
• You will be the internal point of contact for the teams and the external point of contact for the customer throughout the project, from kick-off to validation (FAT and SAT).
• You manage and coordinate laser machine projects worth between €200K and €1,500K.
• You manage the schedule and purchasing and labour budgets, reporting directly to the management committee.
• You manage the design follow-up (multi-disciplinary).
• You are “solution-oriented”, from existing products or platforms to customize
• You will coordinate the overall schedule, particularly with the Supply Chain and Assembly departments
• You will be a ‘pragmatic’ source of proposals for the project and for processes to continuously improve project management operations
• You will ensure that the associated documentation is provided in accordance with requirements (‘As Built’ file)
• You are accountable from project Riks / Opportunities assessment and follow-up  

Your profile :

• You may assume a focal point position between customer, project teams and management committees
• You are an engineer (university or industrial) with a technical background related to machine design, such as mechanical, electro-mechanical, automation, mechatronics, etc.
• Practical experience in machine design (preferably in micro machine tools)
• You are a team player with leadership skills, solution-oriented and proactive
• You have experience with project management methodologies (PMBOK, Prince2,... ) , QRM, Agile, planning tools, problem solving, etc.
• You have experience with project tools as planification software and ERP (Odoo, Silicon Master) 
• You are assertive, proactive and have excellent communication skills
• You are organised, meticulous and have good writing skills
• You are flexible and able to adapt to changing constraints

• You are proficient in office tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, CRM, Sharepoint, etc.).
