To support our Technical Transformation Team, we are currently looking for an R&D Development Technician who thrives in a hands-on, experimental environment and enjoys turning ideas into scalable food solutions.
Responsibilities
- You support the development of new products and the application of new technologies, working closely with the Technical Category Leader and other project managers.
- You coordinate and execute industrial trials, acting as the key link between R&D, the factory, and external partners.
- You prepare and run kitchen prototypes, translating ideas into testable and scalable product solutions.
- You build and maintain strong knowledge of industrial production processes.
- You collaborate with external research centers and analytical laboratories to support development activities.
- You manage raw material stocks, R&D spaces, and logistics related to trials, samples, and materials for local and remote projects.
- You handle project-related administration, including purchase orders, expense tracking, and reporting.
- You take ownership of specific projects or project phases, aligned with and supervised by the Category Leader.

Who are you
- You hold a Master's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- You have at least 2–3 years of experience in product development or industrial processing (food, pharma, or similar).
- You have a strong passion for food, industrial processes, and hands-on experimentation.
- You are familiar with thermal processes, sterilization, and industrial food transformation. Knowledge of fermentation processes is a plus.
- You have a pragmatic, “do-things” mindset and enjoy working in complex, less predictable environments.
- You communicate clearly, work well across teams, and are comfortable in an international context.
- You are fluent in English. Dutch is a plus.
- You will be based in Puurs and are open to frequent travel across Europe (60%).
