About the Role
As an Associate Scientist Gas Chromatography, you will join the AMSC team within our Analytical Development department. AMSC serves as a center of excellence for chromatographic and physicochemical testing, supporting drugs throughout their entire lifecycle—from early development to commercialization. In this laboratory-based role, you will focus on delivering robust Gas Chromatography (GC) test methods to determine the purity of raw materials, intermediates, and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs).
Your Responsibilities
In this dynamic position, you will manage projects and technical workflows to ensure the highest quality of pharmaceutical products:
- Method Development & Execution: Coordinate and execute analytical GC work, including the development, validation, and transfer of methods to verify quality attributes.
- Innovation: Actively participate in assessing and implementing new GC methodologies and equipment to keep the team at the forefront of technology.
- Project Management: Independently manage assigned projects while ensuring all deliverables are met on time.
- Quality & Compliance: Guarantee accurate GMP documentation, review generated data, and write technical protocols and reports.
- Troubleshooting: Apply state-of-the-art knowledge to conduct investigations and solve technical issues.
- Regulatory Adherence: Ensure strict compliance with regulatory requirements, GMP standards, and safety protocols.
Job Requirements
We are seeking a results-driven professional who thrives in a collaborative scientific environment:
- Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biomedical Laboratory Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of academic or industry experience is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Strong technical knowledge of gas chromatographic systems.
- Preferred expertise in GC method development and validation in a GMP environment.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- A proactive mindset suited for a dynamic, fast-paced laboratory.
