Technical Consultant/Engineer – Palo Alto Networks

We’re looking for a hands-on Palo Alto consultant/engineer to support and deliver customer projects across Belgium. You’ll work on installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and ongoing support of Palo Alto security solutions, with a strong focus on practical delivery in customer environments.

This is not a pure architect role and not a “follow the runbook” role. You’ll be expected to think, adapt the solution to the customer context, and execute.

What you’ll do

• Visit customers to review requirements and confirm scope
• Install, configure and troubleshoot Palo Alto security solutions (firewalls and related components)
• Translate needs into a practical technical approach so presales can build the correct offer
• Support delivery across multiple customer projects (large national/enterprise clients)
• Contribute to documentation and continuous improvement
• Automate routine tasks where possible (basic scripting/automation)
• Occasional escalations (rare out-of-hours; most handled next day due to redundancy)

Must-have

• Hands-on Palo Alto experience (installation + configuration in customer environments)
• Strong troubleshooting mindset and project delivery ownership
• Customer-facing communication skills
• Willingness to travel within Belgium (driving required)

Nice-to-have

• Fortinet and/or Check Point (or similar vendors)
• Certifications (Palo Alto or equivalent)
• Basic scripting/automation (e.g., Python/PowerShell)

Working model

• Hybrid: customer sites + WFH + ~1 day/week in Antwerp office
• Travel is Belgium-only

Languages

• Dutch + English preferred
• Strong English-only profiles can be considered

Contract

• Contract / freelance engagement, initial 12 months (extensions likely; long-term relationship preferred)
