Who is Bru Textiles?

Bru Textiles, with HQ in Kontich is a Belgian company that was founded in 1994 by 2 South African brothers. The company is active in the B2B purchase, modification and sale of fabrics used for interior design. Bru is about 1200 people strong worldwide and had a turnover of about €200 million in 2024. Bru has many partnerships with companies in Asia and Europe (called Mills) that convert the fabrics for them. These fabrics are mainly used in curtains, bedding, wall coverings...

Bru Textiles is strongly committed to innovation, digitization and automation through, among other things, the use of AI (e.g. for their chatbots) and digital twins.

Landscape and IT team

In 2018, Bru Textiles was the second company in Belgium to implement S4H. In the following years, further roll-outs and upgrades are planned to various sites worldwide, including Dubai.

The IT department has about 30 employees, 7 of whom are active within SAP, including 2 developers. To strengthen this team, we are currently looking for a senior SAP Developer.

As a Senior SAP Developer you...

• Will be responsible for the entire SAP system and play a central role in the upcoming roll-out and upgrade projects.
• Coach and supervise junior developers, take the lead in projects and influence decisions regarding system architecture.
• Will work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into concrete technical solutions.
• Think along functionally and actively look for ways to innovate and improve business processes within the SAP ecosystem.

What skills and characteristics do you bring to the table?

• You have 7-8 years of development experience in SAP ABAP and/or SAP FIORI/ SAP UI5.
• Relevant experience in developing Adobe files.
• Experience with SAP CI or BTP is a nice plus.
• Preferably, you have experience in multiple SAP modules like SD/MM/FI/CO
• You are fluent in English
• You are willing to travel internationally 1-2 times per year.
