System Engineer z/OS

Role Description

We are looking for a Senior Mainframe System Administrator to support a large, mission-critical IBM z/OS environment within a leading enterprise context.

This is a long-term, stability-focused role integrated into a structured service model, not ad-hoc contracting.

Location: Netherlands/Belgium (onsite / hybrid)

Contract: Full-time or long-term contract

Language: English required (Dutch and/or French is a plus)

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize IBM z/OS
• Monitor performance and capacity (RMF / SMF)
• Manage security and access (RACF)
• Support backup, DR, and incident resolution
• Oversee system changes executed by partners
• Participate in on-call rotation
• Contribute to documentation and knowledge transfer

Profile

• 5+ years of z/OS system administration
• Strong knowledge of JCL, DB2, CICS/IMS, RACF
• Experience in enterprise production environments
• Comfortable with governance and operational processes
