Your Mission
As a Field Sales Manager, you are the ambassador of premium brands and of operational excellence in the field. You supervise a team of Sales Advisors and Brand Animators within Travel Retail. Responsible for driving commercial performance, motivating teams, ensuring flawless in-store execution, and embodying luxury values, you maintain excellent communication with internal teams, partners such as Lagardère, and our clients, for whom you act as a key point of contact.
Your Responsibilities
1. Field Management & Team Motivation
• Ensure a full onboarding process for new joiners: presenting candidates to Lagardère, training new team members, and accompanying them on their first day in the field together with our field coaches.
• Manage, coach, and support the team of Beauty Consultants, Brand Ambassadors, and specialised sales staff.
• Coordinate the implementation of podiums (photos, client feedback, gifts, etc.) and provide solutions to operational issues encountered.
• Act as a close and accessible point of reference through a strong presence in the field to supervise teams (at Brussels Airport/Zaventem and Charleroi Airport).
• Motivate and energise teams to help them reach their targets, acting as a role model and driving a positive, engaged dynamic.
2. Driving Commercial Performance
• Monitor KPIs closely: daily sales, regular reporting from the teams to the clients, planogram compliance, and professional behaviour on the shop floor.
• Identify growth levers and implement targeted action plans.
• Highlight individual performance and set up personalised development plans.
• Reward top performers each month and foster a positive, demanding, and recognition-based management culture.
3. Communication & Coordination
• Ensure seamless daily communication between teams, the office, clients, and Lagardère.
• Guarantee effective reporting from the field to the office: feedback, competition insights, trends, incidents.
• Work hand-in-hand with office teams (HR, logistics, training, planning...) and be present at the office once a week (Namur).
Your Profile
• You have proven experience in commercial animation, ideally in selective perfumery and cosmetics.
• You have a successful track record in supervising field teams in retail or travel retail.
• A natural leader, you possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• You are passionate about luxury environments: selective perfumery, premium spirits, fine confectionery.
• You are fluent in Dutch, French, and English.
• You are willing to travel across different zones: 3 days at Zaventem, 1 day in Charleroi, and 1 day at the office in Namur.
