IT SYSTEM ENGINEER

At Sumitomo Bakelite Europe (Ghent) NV, we are looking for a versatile professional for our ICT department who will future proof our systems and be responsible for the operational management of our infrastructure.

Functionally, you report to the European ICT Coordinator, hierarchically to the CFO of SBEG.

Your challenge

Strategic: You help determine the ICT strategy, manage the budget and translate business needs into technological solutions (Enterprise Architecture - Digital Transformation Roadmap)

Operational:

-You install, configure and maintain systems, networks and applications within an Operations Technology environment (PLCs – AD Microsoft for Windows – Microsoft 365 – DNS – DHCP - …)

-You install, configure and maintain systems, networks and applications within the IT environment (ADDC, DNS, DHCP, SQL, EntraID, Exhange online, Sharepoint, Onedrive, ...)

-Optimization: You implement updates, upgrades and patches and ensure maximum performance and security (NAC by Aruba ClearPass – firewalling by Paloalto – NIS2 – Cybersecurity Frameworks - …)

-Automation: You develop scripts and processes to increase efficiency (Process Mining)

-Innovation: You follow trends and translate them into practical improvements in our production environment

-Prioritization / needs analysis: You can set clear priorities in a 24/7 running production environment, and can properly assess the importance of certain business processes (Requirements Engineering en ICT Demand Management)

Your profile

Bachelor/Master in Computer Science or equivalent through experience

Minimum of 5 year experience with system administration, networks, security and ICT management. Preferably with the partners mentioned above

Proven track record with systems such as: ITSM, Rubrik, SentinelOne, XDR, VoIP, ...

Proven track record and knowledge of Operations Technology environment

Analytical, communicative, critical and result oriented

Fluent in Dutch and English
