Context Our client in Brussels is driving a major digital transformation and global cloud security standardisation. We seek a confirmed senior AWS DevSecOps / Cloud Security Engineer to implement NIS2-compliant security controls across AWS environments. Key responsibilities Implement AWS-native security controls defined by the Cloud Security Architect. Ensure NIS2 compliance: IAM, backups, vulnerability management, documentation. Collaborate with cloud, security, identity, patching, backup, and vulnerability teams across international entities. Design secure, cost-optimised AWS solutions. Build new AWS DevSecOps capabilities using native AWS components. Mandatory requirements Senior-level AWS Security expertise (hands-on, production environments) Experience with AWS modular architecture and design patterns Guardduty, Security Hub, AWS Backup, KMS & secrets, IAM / Privileged Access Management, AWS patching, vulnerability remediation Knowledge of NIS2 requirements Ability to secure AWS against DDoS, ransomware, and cloud threats AWS cost optimisation capability Full autonomy, immediate operational capability (no training) Soft skills & languages Autonomous, solution-oriented, proactive Strong communication in English (mandatory) Comfortable in large, multicultural environments Interested or know someone who fits?
