After School Supervisor

The After-School Supervisor is responsible for providing a safe, caring, and engaging environment for primary-aged children during the after-school period. Working daily from 15:45 to 18:00, the supervisor leads age-appropriate activities, supports children's wellbeing and social development, and ensures smooth, safe end-of-day transitions. The role requires warmth, patience, organisational skills, and a strong commitment to safeguarding, along with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents. The successful applicant will: Supervise and care for primary-aged pupils during the after-school period. Provide a safe, positive and engaging environment for all children. Lead age-appropriate activities that support play, wellbeing, and social development. Ensure children are safely handed over to parents/carers at the end of the session. Follow school safeguarding, behaviour, and health & safety procedures. Communicate effectively with staff and parents where needed. Profile and Experience Enjoy working with young children and demonstrate patience, warmth, and reliability. Have experience supervising or supporting children in a school or childcare setting. Be organised, attentive, and confident managing small groups. Be committed to safeguarding and the wellbeing of all pupils.
