Development Engineer

Hiring: Development Engineer – Automotive | Onsite – Diest, Belgium

We are looking for an experienced Automotive Development Engineer with strong expertise in New Product Development (NPD) and end-to-end engineering processes.

Location: Diest, Belgium (5 days onsite)

Requirement: EU Citizenship or Transferable Belgium Work Permit

Experience: 8–10 years in Automotive Product Development

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Automotive New Product Development (NPD) from concept to release.
• Conduct product and market analysis for various car applications.
• Perform design definition, apply standards, and execute detailed drawing checks.
• Manage prototype launch, testing, and follow-up activities.
• Handle type approval requirements, including engineering calculations.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure project alignment.
• Execute reverse engineering using scanned data and conduct benchmarking studies.
• Interpret complex manufacturing and assembly drawings with accuracy.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of GD&T, detailing standards, and engineering best practices.
• Proficient in NX, Siemens NX, or any major CAD tools (3D part modeling, surfacing, assemblies, detailing).
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, including:
• Sheet metal
• Weldments
• Plastics
• Castings
• Tooling
• Machining
• Experience with VAVE, DFMEA, Benchmarking, and Type Approval for automotive systems.
• Prior experience working with Automotive OEMs, Tier-1, or Tier-2 suppliers.
