Function and responsibilities
A Brady Product Manager for RFID is the crucial link between market needs and product development, defining and launching the next generation of our smart solutions, responsible for managing a portfolio of RFID solutions, including readers, scanners, and tags, by developing strategic plans, creating roadmaps, and driving profitability. Key responsibilities include conducting market research, analyzing customer and competitor insights, defining product requirements, and collaborating with marketing, sales, and R&D teams to ensure commercial success. The role requires managing product financials and leading commercialization strategies across multiple market channels.
The primary responsibilities will focus on strategy, development, market definition, and support:
Market & Solution Strategy:
- Develop and execute strategic plans and roadmaps for the RFID portfolio. Gather customer insights and conduct market research to understand industry needs, competitive landscapes, and technology trends. Work with EMEA regional teams to prioritize investments, define product requirements, and ensure consistency across product lines.
- Identify specific industry needs across diverse sectors (e.g., retail, apparel, pharma, medical, food & industrial manufacturing, logistics management, and more).
- Define comprehensive RFID solutions for various applications, including all necessary building blocks (tag, reader, software, etc.).
- Map and maintain the competitive landscape, key strategic partners, and manufacturers to ensure market relevance.
- Define robust business cases for new projects and collaborate closely with R&D to develop innovative solutions.
Go-to-Market & Portfolio Management:
- Lead the execution of commercialization strategies for products across various market channels. Own product financials and performance, driving revenue and margin growth while also identifying and mitigating risks.
- Define and roll out the complete go-to-market plan for RFID solutions and products.
- Manage the product & solutions portfolio and component lifecycle management in close cross- functional collaboration across the organization.
Knowledge Leadership & Support
- Support sales, project, and product professionals in the field by sharing expert knowledge, conducting training sessions, giving presentations, and acting as the subject matter expert.
- Become the internal and external voice of the customer and the market.
Profile
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Electrical Engineering or Electronics.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience implementing and/or consulting on complex business processes using technology.
- Technical experience with RFID technology. Experience with IoT (Internet of Things) is a plus.
- Experience in Portfolio Management.
- Strong communication skills, experience in project management, and proficient in using facts and figures (data-driven).
- Ability to analyze market and competitor data, customer needs, and financial performance to inform strategy. Capacity to develop long-term product plans and roadmaps.
- Fluent knowledge of English (both written and spoken).
- Willingness to travel up to 30% of working time.
