About the Role

We are seeking a Senior IAM Developer (Freelance) to join our client's high-impact team in Brussels for a 5-month project. You'll play a pivotal role in managing and evolving a mission-critical Identity and Access Management (IAM) platform supporting over 20,000 users. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize software components for Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Access Management (AM) systems.
• Drive the evolution of the IAM platform, including the migration to Microsoft Entra ID Governance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, integration partners, and stakeholders to deliver robust IAM solutions.
• Participate in technical working groups, design sessions, and architecture reviews.
• Lead and contribute to testing, technical documentation, evaluation, and reporting of software components.
• Document implementations using Microsoft Office and collaborative platforms, ensuring clear communication with all teams.
• Mentor and support colleagues and product teams in platform development and best practices.
• Act as a bridge between product and cross-functional teams, integrating development, testing, and operational aspects.
• Share knowledge and foster a culture of continuous improvement through transfer sessions and collaborative learning.

Technical Skills

• Expert-level experience with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), ETL, and C# development
• Strong background in .NET development
• Advanced PowerShell scripting skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Visual Studio, Microsoft Visio, and Microsoft Office
• Solid understanding of information security frameworks relevant to IAM implementations
• Experience with BPMN and UML for process and system documentation
• Knowledge of SCIM (System for Cross-domain Identity Management)

Language Proficiency

• Native proficiency in either French or Dutch
• Functional knowledge of the second national language (French or Dutch)
• Functional proficiency in English

Other Requirements

• Certification in Microsoft development or equivalent through training/education (must be referenced in your CV)
• Demonstrated experience in large-scale IAM/IDM environments, ideally with HR feed processes in a Microsoft context
• Solution-oriented, analytical mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
• Structured, proactive work approach and strong team spirit
• Ability to quickly understand and work with existing codebases
• Willingness to integrate into a small, collaborative team
• Verifiable and contactable references are highly recommended
• Onsite presence in Brussels required, especially during onboarding; remote work possible by mutual agreement after initial period

• This is a freelance position with a fixed project duration: as soon as possible until 31/03/ months full-time commitment, with potential for on-demand work after onboarding)
