Supply Chain Buyer


ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a rigorous and proactive Supply Chain Buyer to join our Distribution Center in Milmort, Belgium. In this role, you will ensure the timely and efficient supply of goods and services while achieving the best balance of cost, quality, and lead time. You will play a central part in supplier performance monitoring, operational purchasing, and daily purchasing operations- supporting the smooth functioning of our distribution and maintenance activities.
This role focuses on operational purchasing, supplier evaluation, and tender management. It does not require contract negotiation, allowing you to concentrate on ensuring efficient supply flows and strong supplier performance.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Sourcing & Supplier Management


• Maintain and update the supplier database
• Organize and manage calls for tenders
• Conduct supplier audits and evaluations, including benchmarking against KPIs (quality, cost, volume)
• Support operational purchasing, including follow-up on deliveries and managing disputes
• Contribute to developing strategic supplier partnerships

Order Management & Administration


• Identify material and parts requirements with department managers
• Prepare purchase orders, track deliveries, and manage discrepancies or non-compliance
• Perform on-site delivery checks and inventory verifications
• Monitor budgets, verify invoices, and prepare activity reports

REQUIREMENTS


• Solid  experience in a similar purchasing or supply chain role
• Education in foreign trade, marketing, supply chain, or a related discipline
• Experience in operational purchasing, supplier evaluation, benchmarking, and tender management
• Proficiency in MS Office and CMMS tools
• Languages: French, English, Dutch
• Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic and operational setting
