Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in technical analysis or application portfolio management within an IT environment.
- Proven ability to collaborate with business unit (BU) teams to perform in-depth technical analysis of application portfolios (on-premise and cloud).
- Expertise in conducting and documenting TIME (Tolerate, Invest, Modernise, Eliminate) and 7R (Retire, Retain, Reuse, Repurchase, Rehost, Rearchitect, Replatform) assessments for applications.
- Understanding of legacy and cloud technologies, including mainframe, AS400, web-based applications, and modern cloud platforms.
- Proficiency in using Excel for data collection and analysis; experience with PowerBI (online) is a strong asset.
- Strong ability to identify and flag technical risks and modernisation opportunities.
- Good understanding of enterprise architecture principles, with the ability to collaborate with central architecture teams.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, good communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Languages: English (fluent), Japanese (nice to have).
Job Description:
- Drive the technical analysis of application portfolios in close collaboration with BU application teams.
- Collect and maintain comprehensive data on application attributes, configurations, dependencies, and technical health in the central repository.
- Conduct and document TIME and 7R assessments for each application to inform strategic decisions.
- Support the calculation, reporting, and maintenance of technical debt and supportability scores.
- Validate analysis results with the Programme Manager and BU teams to support the prioritisation of modernisation activities.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of technical analysis frameworks and methodologies.
