Your responsibilities:
As
COO
, you are responsible for the
full operational backbone
of Bolt. You will build a
future-proof, scalable organization
, create transparency through data and dashboards, and ensure that Bolt operates efficiently, flawlessly, and impactfully, ensuring outstanding customer care & experience.
You will be part of the leadership team and
collaborate directly with the board and founders
Pieterjan Verhaeghen (CEO) and Rens Van Haute (CPO).
Your focus:
Cloud & dust - strategy operations
- You seamlessly switch between high-level strategic planning and hands-on operational leadership.
- You report to the board, translate strategy into concrete operational roadmaps, and ensure flawless execution.
Red-blue - operational excellence & performance mindset
- You build a results-driven, data-oriented organization with clear KPIs and dashboards.
- You optimize critical bulk processes such as billing, cash collection, meter-to-cash, dunning, and issue resolution.
Specifically, you will:
- Lead and develop the
Operations, Care, and Customer Experience team (~30 FTE)
into an organization driven by performance & customer-centricity, assuring a
revenue of >€80M. - Ensure an
optimal customer experience
, systematically removing friction and resolving issues at the source while exceeding customer expectations. - Implement
reorganizations, process improvements, and roadmap initiatives
that prepare Bolt for further growth. - Manage
strategic partners
(e.g. debtor management) and build collaborations with measurable impact.

What we expect from you:
- A
proven track record in complex, high-volume industries
such as utilities, consumer goods, or telecom - with comparable operational scale, regulated markets, complex supply chains, customer-focused operations, and high-volume transactions. - Extensive experience in operational excellence
across processes, dunning, cash collection, customer operations, and/or billing. - Experience in managing a
high-performing and effective customer care team
that can handle a multitude of different topics. - Deep understanding of
P&L, cash, KPIs
, and awareness of operational and financial risks. - Strong
analytical skills
(pivots, datasets, KPI dashboards) and affinity with IT. - Proven leadership experience
in a performance-driven environment. - Familiarity with
change management
, reorganizations, and building scalable structures. - Strong people and communication skills
: brings calmness, direction, and clarity in complex contexts. - Fluent in
Dutch
+ English
