Boomi Integration Specialist

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Boomi Integration Specialist to support a high-urgency integration project. Due to limited internal integration capacity, currently handled by a single staff member.

Several customer and supplier integrations are delayed, with some already overdue. This short-term contractor will help accelerate delivery and reduce business risk during a critical period.

ASAP start basis.


Project Context

  • A new integration initiative is entering discovery phase, with a kick-off scheduled for next week.
  • The integration covers invoicing, stock, pricing, and discount data flows between systems.
  • Timely delivery is essential; delays may impact commercial operations and revenue.
  • The client is working toward greater maturity in integration practices, including monitoring, testing, and standardization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy integrations using Boomi.
  • Connect systems handling invoicing, pricing, stock, and discount information.
  • Support and collaborate with the existing integration engineer to reduce backlog.
  • Conduct integration testing, including stream testing and validation of end-to-end flows.
  • Implement or enhance integration monitoring to detect failures early.
  • Document integration logic, mappings, and workflows (preferably in Dutch, if possible).
  • Provide knowledge transfer and contribute to the integration playbook, promoting standardization and reduced customization.
  • Work onsite at the client's office (remote access possible when required).

Required Skills & Experience

  • Boomi AtomSphere hands-on development experience (mandatory).
  • Strong understanding of:
    • REST APIs
    • JSON
    • SQL and general database concepts
    • Data mapping and transformation
  • Experience working across multiple systems and data domains (finance, product, pricing, etc.).
  • Exposure to integration monitoring and validation tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot integration issues quickly and effectively.
  • Experience delivering integrations in time-critical or high-impact environments.

Preferred Skills

  • Dutch language speakers would be prioritised but not critical. (documentation and system language)
  • English Speakers will be considered
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement practices in integration workflows.
  • Experience working with architects and contributing to solution design discussions.
  • Experience within the logistics sector would be beneficial
