Senior Manager

The EU team at EY is dedicated to advancing the "European Project" by offering robust, evidence-based policy, regulatory, and economic advice to European institutions.
We assist clients in identifying key needs and challenges, anticipating changes, designing public policy responses, and implementing technical solutions while ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
You will join our EU team in Brussels, which has a prestigious and expanding portfolio of projects for the European Commission and its agencies.
Our focus areas include industry and sustainability, standardization and product safety, digital markets, consumer protection and empowerment or employment and cohesion policy.
We manage various projects and framework contracts with multiple directorates and committees, including DG GROW, DG JUST, DG FISMA, DG COMP, DG ENV, DG EMPL, DG RTD and others.

To strengthen our team of senior consultants and managers, we are looking to appoint a Senior Manager who will focus on policy research and analysis, further enhancing our commitment to excellence in public policy consultancy.

Your Key Responsibilities

•  Lead Complex Projects: Deliver timely, evidence-based outputs that meet the needs of European Commission public policy bodies.
•  Drive Proposals: Lead development of technical proposals and negotiate budgets for diverse public policy projects, leveraging your established network of partners.
•  Provide Leadership: Guide multinational teams including partners and subcontractors, ensuring quality and effective communication with clients.
•  Foster Team Growth: Inspire collaboration, contribute to internal training, and mentor junior team members.

In addition, as a Senior Manager you will be able to provide supportive leadership to the team. You will have evidence in building business or strong interest in public policy.

Your Profile

•  Education: Master's degree in EU public policy, economics, law, or a related field.
•  Experience: 8+ years in public policy consultancy, ideally with EC institutions.
•  Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage large, multicultural teams and complex projects.
•  Bid Writing Expertise: Strong track record in competitive bid writing and consortium building.
•  Research Methodology: Experience in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
•  Communication Skills: Ability to effectively engage with clients and manage stakeholder expectations.
