Strategic Business Developer


Job description What if your strategic vision could grow our commercial portfolio? 

We are looking for a Strategic Business Developer for our division Carbon Shift (Transversal BD).

Your work location: Brussels.

Zoom on the job:
  • strategic and transversal business development (CS Strategic BD)
    • participate in active prospecting and commercial development across all Carbon Shift offerings (Consulting, Solar, EV, Lighting, etc.), maximizing synergies between entities and ensuring an integrated approach to clients
    • develop and maintain client relationships to anticipate and identify needs and potential future offerings
    • support the BD Manager in defining, formalizing, and deploying the overall commercial strategy, in coordination with CS department managers
    • manage multi-entity opportunities and support operational teams in proposal development, negotiations, and major tenders
  • coordination and structuring of the matrixed sales team (CS Strategic BD)
    • support the animation and structuring of the transversal sales ecosystem: transversal sales objectives, sales tools, training, monitoring individual and collective performance of Carbon Shift Sales and BD teams (revenues, cross-sell rates, number of multi-offer clients, etc.)
    • foster collaboration, sharing of best practices, and information exchange between Sales/BD teams functionally attached to Transversal BD
    • assist in implementing a common reporting and commercial performance tracking system (CRM, Odoo, etc.) and ensure monitoring of transversal client satisfaction
  • definition, positioning, and development of the "Adaptation/Resilience" offering (CS Consulting)
    • design, structure, and formalize the "Adaptation/Resilience" offering aligned with clients' resilience challenges, integrating internal expertise and group innovations
    • define the market positioning of this offering, develop the value proposition, and create differentiated sales arguments
    • lead the commercialization of the offering: support teams in promoting, selling, and deploying adaptation solutions, and drive the growth of the business unit (portfolio growth, new client acquisition, internal skills development)
    • coordinate internal stakeholders to ensure technical, financial, and commercial coherence of proposals and ensure integration of best practices in solutions offered elsewhere within Carbon Shift
Profile Are we a match?
  • civil, industrial, or commercial engineering degree or a master's degree in an economic field with a good technical understanding
  • significant experience of over 5 years in business development, sales, and commercial evolutions
  • knowledge and experience in technical design (energy management, electricity, HVAC), project management (planning, process management, etc.), coordinating various stakeholders, and negotiation
  • analytical and organizational skills that enable you to manage complex projects, understand risks, and solve problems
  • understanding of the energy sector, climate change, and/or sustainability
  • commitment to continuous improvement
  • clear and structured communication, responsiveness, and proactivity
  • fluency in French and Dutch
