Domain Architect

About the Role

As a Domain Architect, you will serve as the critical link between business strategy and IT capabilities. Your role is to translate strategic objectives into actionable technological solutions and oversee the successful implementation of IT initiatives. By leveraging your deep understanding of both business and technology, you will help achieve company digital transformation goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with business and IT leadership to analyze and articulate business and operational models, ensuring clarity and alignment.
• Business Architecture Development: Create and maintain business capability models, value streams, business processes, and customer journey maps to support strategic decision-making.
• Complexity Assessment: Evaluate the scope and complexity of new project ideas and initiatives.
• Pre-Project Analysis:Coordinate feasibility studies and pre-project assessments up to the business case stage.
• Engage relevant stakeholders, including solution, technical, and infrastructure architects, business experts, and IT DevOps teams.
• Develop solution scenarios and perform cost-benefit analyses in collaboration with financial partners and product owners.
• Business Case Ownership: Play a key role in drafting and validating business cases with product owners, financial partners, and project managers.
• Governance & Reporting: Work closely with the Program Management Office to monitor benefits, risks, issues, and progress across initiatives and projects.

Required Skills & Competencies

Roles:

• At least 5 years of experience as IT Business Architect

Languages:

• Dutch - Native or bilingual
• English - Nice to have
• French - Nice to have

Skills:

• At least 5 years of experience in:

Agile, Lean, Business and Operations modeling, Design Thinking, Technology and Business Digital Strategy.

• Strong understanding of business architecture frameworks and IT strategy alignment.
• Experience in business capability modeling, value stream mapping, and customer journey design.
• Ability to perform cost-benefit analysis and develop business cases.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools and methodologies.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
