Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Create Sales Campaigns- Work with Executive Team and sales Managers at least weekly to identify opportunities and create or modify marketing campaigns within the various silos of production to include MAPD, Medicare Supplement, ancillary products, life insurance, annuities, ACA (under 65 health). Performing this function involves working across marketing, sales, product, and data analytics teams to optimize the customer journey, maximize growth opportunities, and drive business and revenue growth.
- Launch Sales Campaigns Internally – Meet with Managers and Marketers weekly to execute marketing plans for the various product and sales initiatives. Train Marketers on phone call activity (calls to action), sales techniques, scripts, email communication and zoom calling to increase skills and effectiveness of the team. Attend virtually and in person daily morning Marketer meetings.
- Launch Sales Campaigns Externally – Present to and train agents and agencies as frequently as possible by phone, zoom and live meetings to implement marketing plans and drive engagement and sales for the various product initiatives. Communicate to the field various sales ideas, skills, techniques, sales incentives, lead programs and various other topics that will increase sales volume.
- Leverage Carrier Sales Incentives - Identify incentive opportunities with carriers and AmeriLife across all sales silos. Communicate these opportunities to the sales floor and eventually agents and agencies in the field. List all opportunities in an easy to access and review setting for review both internally and externally.
- Conduct Weekly Agent Outreach – Craft weekly outreach to agents to increase recruiting opportunities, engagement, and ultimately sales. Conduct these efforts via calls to key accounts and agencies, zoom meetings webinar classes, newsletters, videos, and blog posts. Work diligently to improve and increase the Sales Director and Gordon Marketing brand.
- Run data-driven analytics to identify growth opportunities and scale successful strategies. In addition, analyze data to optimize agent segmentation, targeting and messaging to improve agent acquisition and contract/sales conversion rates.
- On-Boarding, Training and Supervision of Recruiters and Associate Marketers – Assist with the recruitment and hiring of new Recruiters to Gordon Marketing. Conduct interviews and assist in the selection process of candidates. Once hired train on various Marketer skill sets to increase effectiveness and success of the candidates. Supervise, mentor and coach weekly to increase effectiveness of the team and increase productivity.
- Review Recruiter Performance and Activity Metrics- Analyze dials, talk time, contracts, and new producer sales, and other data to determine recruiter success. Listen weekly to phone calls one-on-one to provide regular feedback. Make certain that satisfactory levels of contacts to contracts, as well as contracts to sales ratios are being met. Determine when criteria have been met for Recruiters to be promoted to Associate Marketer. Report the results weekly to Randy Pierson.
- Legacy Marketer Collaboration – Meet and/or communicate with Legacy Marketers on a weekly basis to maintain high quality relationships and create a collaborative environment to increase overall Marketer performance. Mentor and coach Legacy Marketers in the atmosphere and style that is appropriate for their level of experience and knowledge.
- Day to Day Supervisory Duties – Complete daily or weekly Workday submissions for time worked, approve vacations and absences of Recruiters and Associate Marketers. Document developmental concerns and complete Monthly performance reviews. Develop and track bonus opportunities for recruiters and distribute as necessary weekly.
- Travel – Travel to Gordon Marketing sales events for presentation opportunities whenever possible (L&A Expo, AEP Kickoff, GM Convention Trip, Top Golf). Attend various carrier events and AmeriLife functions as deemed appropriate or necessary (AmeriLife Gayla, Medicarians, AEP Carrier Rollouts). Travel to the Gordon Marketing office in Noblesville, IN at least monthly for face-to-face interaction with the Executive team, Marketers and Recruiters.
- Affiliate and Key Account Interaction – Visit and build quality and impactful relationships with high volume/high revenue affiliate and key accounts as needed but at least annually.
- Participate in AmeriLife MDP Program – Attend and successfully complete AmeriLife Management Development Program at the earliest possible opportunity.
- Provide thorough and consistent performance and results feedback to Executive Team, Randy Pierosn & Rebecca Gordon no less often than weekly and daily when possible.
- Focus on Increasing Ancillary Sales with a particular emphasis on Hospital Indemnity – Develop initiatives, scripts, campaigns, incentives, marketing and communications to drive Ancillary sales (Hospital Indemnity, Cancer, Short Term Care, DVH, etc.) with the overall objective of increasing revenue from those product lines by 15% to 20% in 2026.
