Senior European Office Director

1. Represent the State of Illinois in Europe, focusing on trade and investment.
2. Develop strategies to promote exports and attract foreign direct investment.
3. Provide market intelligence, matchmaking, and support services to companies entering the European market.
4. Identify and engage potential investors interested in establishing or expanding operations in Illinois.
5. Organize trade missions, seminars, and networking events.
6. Collaborate with U.S. and European government agencies, industry associations.
7. Prepare regular reports for the Illinois Office based in Chicago.

Key Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, economics, international relations.
• Experience: Project management, international business, marketing, public administration.
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two years' experience working in international trade, economic development, related fields.
• Two years' experience working directly with European business sectors.
• Two years' experience negotiating trade agreements.
