General Description

We are seeking a freelance Neuropsychologist to join a long-term Patient Support Program focused on individuals diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). This role involves conducting cognitive assessments, providing practical guidance to patients, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Cognitive Evaluation:
• Perform cognitive assessments for MS patients during two individual sessions (approx. 1 hour each).
• Conduct a third session to explain results and provide practical recommendations for daily life improvements.
• Assessment Tools:
• Use the Minimal Assessment of Cognitive Function in MS (MACFIMS), including:
• Controlled Oral Word Association Test
• Judgment of Line Orientation Test
• California Verbal Learning Test
• Brief Visuospatial Memory Test
• Symbol Digit Modalities Test (SDMT)
• Delis-Kaplan Executive Function System Sorting Test
• Paced Auditory Serial Addition Test (PASAT)
• Reporting & Documentation:
• Provide summary reports for each session to the treating neurologist, MS nurse, and AKKODIS.
• Deliver a rehabilitation plan after completing the cognitive assessment.
• Report adverse events within 24 hours as per pharmacovigilance requirements.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with neurologists and other healthcare professionals.
• Support BD/BM teams in presentations requiring technical expertise (as agreed).

Location: Hospitals in Liège and Verviers (occasional home visits under strict conditions).

Frequency: Approx. 1 day per month.

Required Education & Skills

• Master’s degree in Psychology (specialization in Neuropsychology preferred).
• Experience or strong affinity with Multiple Sclerosis patient support.
• Familiarity with the above-mentioned neuropsychological tests and ability to access them.
• Excellent communication skills in French (Dutch is a plus).
