Automation Engineer - Aveva SP

Proclinical is seeking an Automation Engineer to lead automation initiatives within biomanufacturing operations. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain scalable and compliant automation systems to support critical production processes. Expertise in AVEVA System Platform (formerly Wonderware) is essential for success in this position.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop AVEVA System Platform architectures for batch and continuous manufacturing systems.
• Configure and deploy HMI-SCADA solutions using AVEVA SP Historian and related tools.
• Integrate automation systems with MES, ERP, and other enterprise platforms.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, GAMP 5, and internal quality standards.
• Lead troubleshooting and optimization efforts to enhance system reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process engineering, IT, and validation.
• Document and validate automation systems in line with regulatory requirements.

Key Skills and Requirements:

• Proficiency in AVEVA System Platform, including SCADA/HMI development, Historian configuration, and OPC communication.
• Familiarity with GMP, GAMP 5, and validation protocols.
• Background in biopharma, chemical, or food & beverage industries is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
