About the role
We are looking for a Senior Product Risk Specialist at our HQ in Antwerp (Belgium) who will lead a small team of 3 colleagues and play a key role in ensuring business continuity. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with substantial experience to take the next step in their career. You will be responsible for assessing and managing risks across our product portfolio, with a focus on dangerous goods (DG) and broader categories such as food and feed.
Key responsibilities
Conduct thorough risk assessments for dangerous goods and other chemical products, covering the entire product lifecycle from development to market.
Ensure product risk assessments comply with all safety, regulatory, and compliance standards while balancing business objectives.
MSDS management: review, maintain, and update Material Safety Data Sheets for all chemical products, ensuring they are accurate, accessible, and compliant with local, national, and international regulations.
Minimize compliance risks and ensure the safety of employees and customers.
Your profile
Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role. Previous leadership experience is not required; this role is a great next step for experienced professionals looking to grow.
In-depth understanding of chemical properties, manufacturing processes, and the regulatory landscape (e.g., REACH, OSHA, CLP, GHS).
Knowledge of dangerous goods (IMDG) and food and feed safety.
Familiarity with MSDS management tools, chemical safety databases, and hazard communication platforms.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills with a solid risk management acumen.
