Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for cost management and project optimization? We are seeking a skilled Project Cost Analyst to join our innovative team dedicated to driving the energy transition forward. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the financial success of our projects from inception to completion, contributing to sustainable growth and a greener future.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Tracking & Reporting:
Develop and execute cost execution plans (e.g., cost curves) by function.
Generate weekly and monthly detailed cost reports by project scope.
Monitor budget line items weekly and identify variances for escalation and mitigation.
Budget Management:
Maintain budget version control to ensure all agreed changes are reflected in the forecast.
Collaborate with budget owners to estimate Cost to Complete based on actual costs, commitment costs, and potential variation orders.
Project Alignment:
Work closely with the scheduler to align project schedules with cost curves.
Support Bill of Quantity (BOQ) tracking tied to unit costs versus budget and latest forecast.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Prepare for PMR reviews on a quarterly/bi-annual basis with the business.
Provide valuable feedback to Sales, ITO, and IPM on lessons learned for future bids and budgets.
Risk Management:
Conduct risk & opportunity analyses and monitor project risks.
Follow up on action plans and conduct ad-hoc analyses on estimating headwind cost implications.
Identify root causes of cost overruns and suggest effective mitigation plans.
Process Improvement:
Support the creation and implementation of new cost controlling mechanisms and structures.
Execute process improvement actions and identify operational rhythms for functional alignment.
Change Order & Claim Analysis:
Coordinate functional estimates for change order costs.
Track variance to budget of approved change orders (actual vs planned spend).

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or business.
Proven experience in cost analysis, project management, or a related role.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and cost management software.

The salary range for this position is 100, ,400.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. 100, , ,700.00 USD Annual
