Functional Analyst – Mobile App Development

As a Functional Analyst for Mobile App Development, you will play a central role in shaping the direction and delivery of the new mobile platform. You will act as the bridge between business stakeholders, UX/UI teams, and development squads, ensuring the successful translation of business needs into functional solutions.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end functional process—from requirements gathering and analysis through design support, sprint planning, and delivery oversight—all within an Agile/Scrum framework.

• Lead requirement gathering sessions with business stakeholders and end users.
  

• Translate business needs into clear, structured functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  

• Collaborate closely with UX/UI teams to ensure user-centered design and seamless user journeys.
  

• Work hand-in-hand with mobile development teams to clarify requirements and support implementation.
  

• Manage and refine the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and stakeholder expectations.
  

• Support sprint planning, backlog prioritisation, and day-to-day Agile/Scrum activities as a key contributor.
  

• Perform functional validations and support testing activities (UAT, exploratory testing).
  

• Act as a subject-matter expert for the mobile product throughout the project lifecycle.
  

• Ensure documentation is complete, clear, and up to date.
  

• Facilitate communication across departments to maintain shared understanding and alignment.
  

• 5+ years of experience as a Functional Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role in digital or mobile projects.
  

• Master's degree or equivalent professional background.
  

• Proven end-to-end project experience: from requirements gathering through design, implementation, and delivery.
  

• Solid understanding of mobile app development (iOS, Android, APIs, and app architecture is a plus).
  

• Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  

• Ability to translate business needs into actionable specifications.
  

• Fluent/native Dutch or French and strong English language skills.
